
When moving large volumes of shipments, mishaps do happen. If we find an item was delivered to the wrong recipient or just stayed behind in the trailer, we will take measures to correct our mistake. Usually we will ship an item via UPS or dispatch it on the next trailer depending on circumstances. On rare occasions, the identifier inventory sticker is missing all together. In those situations we may contact the moving companies that loaded the trailer and/or contact each customer we delivered to in the specific trip the item came from. If this yields no results, we may keep the item for several months but ultimately, if the owner could not be located, we will donate it. This is not a way for us to manage liability, but a means to do the right thing by people entrusting their property with the moving companies we represent.
